Visiting Smoky Mountain for the first time from out of town and found Local Goat on map as we searched for restaurants and when we got there, the car lot was jam packed and it took 5-7mins roaming around the car lot to find parking. And when we finally got in, the place was so filled and ppl were outside in the cold. To me it tells me that the food was good but we were told to wait for 45mins and we had to leave. Came the next day, Sunday morning and we had to wait for same time frame before we got seated. Food was good and we will sure recommend this place but I hope they can work on their time hopefully get more hands if it’s food prep issues. My children enjoyed their meals as well.

Here's a place to take friends and family that has lots of choices for most anybody, even the kids. The service is friendly and helpful. The Goat's reputation is one of the best and there's no dress code except casual and comfortable. And that describes the food also, tasty yet not especially elite. Give them credit for making everything fresh using a secret blend of fresh, locally sourced ingredients. That's why they are totally the Tennessee friendly - "Local Goat". My party of eight enjoyed themselves and if you love gourmet burgers, they offer a million creative choices, like the Elvis, the Patriot, the Pimento Cheeseburger, the Farmhouse (with an egg on it) and even a Lamb Burger. All mostly served with fries. There's some great starters from deep fried deviled eggs to spinach artichoke dip, bbq shrimp, and nachos. Try their 8 piece jumbo chicken wings menu, and great variety of salads and soups. A bunch of "Local" picks include Chicken Tenders, Fish n' Chips, Flame grilled Steaks and Ribs, to Teriyaki Filet Kabobs, Bison Meatloaf, Maui Chicken, Boneless Pork Chops, Crab Cakes, Shrimp choices and Flamed-Grilled Salmon. Lots of sides too and a bunch of yummy Desserts to send you home with a smile.

There’s a reason this place has 15,000+ reviews! Awesome homestyle American restaurant with their own local creations. You’ve gotta try the Tennessee whisky burger - top 10 burgers I’ve had of all time!! The whiskey BBQ sauce is delicious. Also, the goat cheese peppers were fire. Our server, Mary, was so nice and we were glad she waited on us.

We came here for lunch while visiting a local event. The place is cute and we got seated somewhat quick for how packed it was. Our server was very friendly and gave great recommendations on the most popular meals. Our orders came fast and food was definitely delicious and had that home-cooked taste. We'll definitely be back next time we come visit!

This restaurant is well worth the wait! We had BBQ chicken nachos for an appetizer and OMG were they good!!!! We also had the TN glazed burger with bacon and onion rings and it was one of the best burgers I've ever had. The teriyaki marinated steak kabobs with rice were very good also. The creme Brulee was sooo good. This place is the GOAT! Lol

Knew this place had to be good because the parking lot was always packed. I've had their bread pudding on my "must eat" list for years. Good news; Got in when we showed up at 11 am right when they opened. Onion rings were the best I've had in a long time (only onion rings that are as good as or better are at Mike Lining's restaurant in Louisville, KY). Also had a steak salad that hit the spot. Burgers were good and the seafood bisque (or seafood chowder, I forget) was some of the best ever. Pardon the crackers in that classy bowl of soup. I can't take my husband anywhere . Now the bad news; there was no bread pudding when I was there. Guess we'll have to go again!

The place was recommended by a local shop owner. It did not disappoint. They were packed when we arrived. Luckily, we didn't have to wait. Our server Robert was great and he very helpful with going back to check with the kitchen staff multiple times about entree ingredients due to my food allergies. The apps came right away. We had fried deviled eggs and onion rings to start. Our entrees were Hawaiian ribeye & TN whiskey glazed burger. The ambiance was also very nice because they had pretty Christmas trees and decor. Everything we had was very good.

Had a great experience at The Local Goat. Everything was really good and full of savory flavor. The bison meatloaf was especially delicious , rich, hearty, and cooked perfectly. The wings were also excellent, with great flavor and texture. Overall, a fantastic meal, and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for quality food in a relaxed local spot.
